How to get here(not to scale)

Mammoth Lakes is 4 miles west of U.S. Hwy. 395 on SR 203, six hours north of Los Angeles and three hours south of Reno. From the San Francisco Bay Area, take Hwy. 120 through Yosemite National Park over Tioga Pass to Hwy. 395, then 25 miles south. The ride will start and finish at the Whitmore Pool on the Benton Crossing Road. To reach the start from Mammoth, go south on U.S. 395 approx. 5 miles and turn left onto Benton Crossing Road.

Parking is at the Whitmore baseball fields, about one half mile on the left. There is no parking on the Benton Crossing Road or at the Whitmore Pool on the day of the ride. Ample parking is available at the ballfields, however overflow parking is available on Whitmore Tubs Road 1/2 mile farther on the left.

Lightly traveled roads are a welcome relief from city traffic!

Riders may start any time between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. - THERE ARE NO EARLY STARTS! Our ride support vehicles and rest stops are all planned for riders not starting before 7:30 a.m. - if you start before 7:30 you will be on your own. On-site registration will be available starting at 6:45 a.m. for those riders who have not already picked up thir ride packets at Footloose Sports in Mammoth Lakes earlier in the week. The course will close at 6:30 p.m., and any riders remaining on the course will be sagged in to the finish at Whitmore Pool. Click here to see the course description.
