Mammoth Gran Fondo: 102 Miles
75% of the Route Closed to Vehicles
KOM/QOM Timed Section
Option to Participate as a Team
Fun, challenging, and breathtaking! With a start and finish elevation of 8,074 feet and 6,643 feet of total climbing, this beautiful ride is challenging, but manageable. Although there's plenty of uphill climbs on this very scenic route, they are nicely spaced-out with long, fast descents in between to recharge you for the next one. Riders will receive full SAG and tech support, as well as six fully-stocked aid stations with plenty of fluids, snacks, and a specially-themed treat at each stop. Mid-way through the ride, a light lunch is provided at the Black Lake stop. At the finish line, a scrumptious buffet, live entertainment and expo await at the post-ride party at the Village at Mammoth.
King & Queen of the Mountain Stage
The KOM/QOM is at mile 67 of the Gran Fondo route between the Black Lake and Wildrose rest stops. The timed section is 1.6 miles and 540 feet of elevation gain. Riders will be alerted one mile from the start of the KOM/QOM section by road signage and the start/finish will be indicated by the wind flags. Note the KOM/QOM is only open until 12:30pm. Riders passing through the KOM/QOM after 12:30pm will not receive a time. Times will be posted after the event on the website and the KOM/QOM winners will be honored at 3:00pm on the awards stage in the Village.
