Piccolo: 42 Mile Ride
Interest in the Piccolo? Awesome. It’s such a fun and do-able course! During the ride you’ll see amazing scenery, challenge yourself, and meet a great bunch of fellow riders. And you’ll burn plenty of calories that will need replacing at the after-party that includes a delicious buffet.
The most manageable distance at the Gran Fondo starts at 8:30am in The Village, Piccolo riders roll out in a mass start. Starting with a short climb, riders will are soon treated with a fun descent to Highway 395, before heading south in a bike lane that’s eight feet wide.
Riders will be treated to amazing views of expansive vistas, a great perspective on the Eastern Sierra, and forests and forests filled with Jeffrey Pines on their way to Crowley Lake an awesome rest-stop that’s stocked with plenty of complimentary treats to help you refuel.
Post-snack, the ride will double back towards Mammoth Lakes. There will be a second and final rest stop before returning to The Village for the post-ride party.
