Greg Lemond at our High Sierra Fall Century Up to the top at Sagehen Summit!

Weather in the High Sierra is very unpredictable. Fall days are generally sunny and mild, with temperatures in the 70s, but mornings can be cool, and wind, rain, or snow are all possible. Dress in layers that can be removed as the day warms up, and be prepared for any weather conditions. Remember, the altitude of the ride will range from 6,500 to over 8,000 feet above sea level, so plan on spending at least one day before the ride at this elevation.

If you wish to leave clothing or other items at either Crestview or Mono Mills rest stops, we will place them in a bag and transport them to the finish by about 2:00 pm. Any items left at any other stop will not be back at the finish before the end of the day. Any items not picked up at the ride will be available at Footloose Sports after 9:00 am on Sunday. If you do not pick up your items at Footloose Sports, you can contact us and we will ship your items back to you at your expense.
