A FAVORITE CYCLING ROUTE OF LOCAL RIDERS pictured on the cover of Bicycling Magazine in August 2014. This photo was taken just 25 minutes south of Mammoth Lakes and is on Lower Rock Creek or "Old 395" aka. "Old Sherwin Grade" as the locals know it. The photo was taken between Swall Meadows and Paradise Estates with Mt. Tom, Wheeler Ridge, the spectacular Sierras and Round Valley in the background. This is one of the best climbs and descents in the area. Just like the Mammoth Fall Century & Gran Fondo route, there is bountiful and amazing cycling on the "Eastside" of the Sierras in Inyo and Mono Counties. Why not come to Mammoth a few days before the Fall Century and Gran Fondo, get acclimated and check out some of the other great cycling on the "Eastside!" The Mammoth Fall Century & Gran Fondo is Saturday, September 6th, and you can learn more or sign-up HERE at www.FallCentury.org.
